PROSTEP and PROSTEP’s subsidiary BHC demonstrated their close alliance at the 2024 prostep ivip Symposium with a shared booth in a central location. And in Expert Corners, workshops and presentations, our employees demonstrated that they are helping shape current topics of digitalization, such as artificial intelligence (AI), agile software development and collaborative digital twins.
This year, PROSTEP is celebrating an anniversary that is not very common in the relatively young PLM (Product Life Cycle) industry. 30 years ago, PROSTEP’s initial focus was on topics such as STEP and CAD data exchange which evolved to include expertise in vendor neutral PLM integration. Today, Digital Twins, Digital Threads, Embedded Software, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are also central to PROSTEP’s offerings and R&D investments. At its core, PROSTEP has always been about the central challenge of strengthening our customers’ ability to innovate by improving their digital continuity.
The PROSTEP Group is once again taking part in leading PLM vendor events in the USA and Germany this year. These include the Dassault Systèmes user conference COExperience24 in Dallas, Siemens Realize LIVE in Las Vegas, Realize LIVE Europe in Munich, and the Siemens user conference in Seeheim. The DART Racing Team at the Technical University of Darmstadt, which is sponsored by PROSTEP, has successfully completed this year’s racing series. The team took part in the three Formula Student competitions, held in Italy, the Czech Republic and Germany, with its much improved pi2023 electric racing car. Its best finish was 2nd place at FS Czech 2023, which was held at the Autodrom Most race track.
In order to maintain vendor neutrality, you often have to be able to multi-task. PROSTEP recently sponsored three major PLM events in the US, using its Mars Rover demonstrator to present complex PLM topics. Events included Dassault Systèmes’ COExperience 2023 in Miami, PTC LiveWorx in Boston and Siemens Realize Live 2023 in Las Vegas.
If proof of the legitimacy of face-to-face events was needed, then the prostep ivip Symposium 2023, at which PROSTEP was represented with a large stand and large staff, provided it. We have seldom had as many good discussions with partners and customers as this year. In addition, we demonstrated our unbroken commitment to the work of the association in numerous presentations.
The DART Racing Team of the TU Darmstadt recently presented the electric car pi2023, with which the team will contest four Formula Student competitions in the disciplines Electric and Driverless this summer. The PROSTEP logo is emblazoned on the monocoque of the newly designed vehicle for the first time. We now support the Formula Student team at the local TU as a gold sponsor.
