Trustworthy data rooms are the order of the day?!

Thanks in no small part to ChatGPT and Co., artificial intelligence (AI) has arrived in our day-to-day lives, in our private and professional worlds, and is here to stay. There is a lot of hype surrounding AI, which is further fueled by the media. The other day, the German Tagesschau television news service managed to feature three AI-related contributions from completely different contexts in a single broadcast. Numerous companies are giving thought to how and for what purpose they can deploy AI effectively – that is, if they have not already launched their first projects. We here at PROSTEP are also taking a long hard look at what changes AI will bring for us and how we can provide our customers with the support they need when it comes to deploying AI.

OpenDXM GlobalX 9.5 with new deputy regulations

Version 9.5 of PROSTEP’s world-leading data exchange platform OpenDXM GlobalX contains numerous new features and improvements. One important new feature is the ability to set up deputy regulations for receiving data in the event of planned or unplanned absence. In addition, the customizing client in OpenDXM GlobalX 9.5 has been fully integrated into the web interface. The new version will be delivered later this month.

HCLTech and PROSTEP Group enter a global partnership

PROSTEP has entered a partnership with HCLTech, a leading global technology company, to enable enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation journey. As part of this cooperation, HCLTech will offer its clients OpenPDM and OpenDXM GlobalX, PROSTEP’s PLM integration platform and data exchange solution. The leading German PLM consulting and software company expects this strategic partnership to significantly expand its customer base, especially in Northern Europe, North America, and Asia.

Three Ways to Integrate Cameo Systems Modeler with Teamcenter

PROSTEP, Inc., the US American subsidiary of PROSTEP Group, has recently demonstrated three integrations which allow to replication and federation of data between Dassault Systèmes’ Cameo Systems Modeler and Teamcenter from Siemens Digital Industries Software. All integrations are based on PROSTEP’s PLM integration platform OpenPDM which can also be used to connect Cameo to other vendors’ PLM solutions. OpenPDM integrates product data and processes horizontally across the product lifecycle, but also vertically across disciplines and domains, supporting ALM PLM connectivity and model-based systems engineering (MBSE). It provides a wide variety of standard connectors to different commercial PDM/PLM, ALM, ERP and IoT systems.

PROSTEP, Inc. Reports Another Record Year in North America

2022 was another record year for North American PLM integration and migration expert PROSTEP, Inc. This marks the fourth consecutive year of record growth. PROSTEP’s enterprise-grade commercial off the shelf (COTS) software for PLM integration, migration and collaboration, data exchange, and digital thread led growth with a 40% increase in year-over-year bookings. PROSTEP, Inc. does not publish specific financial figures independently of the PROSTEP Group’s annual report.

PDSVISION becomes a new sales partner for OpenDXM GlobalX

Darmstadt, October 2023 – The Swedish PDSVISION Group, one of the leading sales partners of PLM manufacturer PTC, has recently also entered into a distribution agreement with PROSTEP AG. This partnership gives PDSVISION the right to market our secure data exchange platform OpenDXM GlobalX to PTC customers in the Nordic countries, but also in other European countries or in the USA.

DNV and PROSTEP develop 3D PDF solution for surveys in shipbuilding

For years, classification societies and shipyards have been looking for ways to move away from drawings and make the class approval process and processes, such as making the site survey model-based. Now, with the support of PROSTEP, DNV is making progress. Together, we have developed a solution to provide surveyors with 3D models of the hull structure in a 3D PDF container that can be used offline.

Pemamek Relies on OpenPDM Integrations by PROSTEP

Darmstadt, October 2023 – The global provider of welding and production automation solutions Pemamek Ltd. has entered into a strategic cooperation with the PROSTEP Group. The Finnish company now offers integrations between several CAD/PDM systems and PEMA welding automation solutions to its customers in the shipbuilding and offshore industries. The integrations are implemented using components from PROSTEP’s OpenPDM SHIP product family. They enable the loss-free transfer of design and metadata to the PEMA Core software for NC programming, thereby eliminating the need for manual redesigns.

Altair integrates OpenPDM technology into its Altair Hyperworks Platform

PROSTEP and Altair, a global leader in computational science and artificial intelligence (AI), have expanded their long-standing partnership, making it easier to connect Altair’s design and simulation platform Altair HyperWorks to popular PLM solutions. Altair integrates powerful OpenPDM connectors to corresponding PLM systems directly into the platform’s CAE solutions such as Altair HyperMesh.

PROSTEP develops new OpenPDM connector to MS Dynamics 365

PROSTEP is following up on the announcement that it intends to concentrate on the development of new ERP connectors for the OpenPDM integration platform this year: the PLM consulting and software company recently presented a connector with which the cloud-based ERP Solution Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP can be connected to common PLM or ALM solutions.
