PROSTEP Cooperates with Total Materia on Integration Projects
PROSTEP, a leading PLM consulting and software company, has partnered with Swiss materials information management pioneer Total Materia. As part of the collaboration, PROSTEP will support the integration of Total Materia’s online material lifecycle management (MLM) solution into customers’ PLM and ERP systems. For this purpose, PROSTEP has developed a new standard connector that connects the Total Materia Integrator environment to common PLM and ERP systems via the OpenPDM integration platform. Customers can either use the integration software as a service from the cloud or install it on-premises.

Expansion into new markets: PROSTEP intends to expand its range of consulting services
It is a well-known fact that PROSTEP’s business model is based on three pillars that complement each other perfectly: (strategy) consulting, the development and sale of proprietary software solutions for integration, migration, data exchange and end-to-end digitalization, and the development of custom software. Thanks to this combination of different capabilities, we have achieved a fairly unique position on the German-speaking PLM market and are greatly appreciated by our customers. However, these three pillars are not yet equally strong. That is why we have set ourself the goal of systematically expanding our consulting services over the next few business years in terms of both content and geography.
Next step towards making OpenPDM available as a SaaS platform
PROSTEP plans to present the new version 10 of its PLM integration solution OpenPDM at the end of November – another step towards making OpenPDM available as a SaaS offering. At the same time, we are continuing to move forward with the coordinated modernization of OpenPDM and our data exchange platform OpenDXM GlobalX with the aim of bringing the two solutions together on a shared platform.
