Nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one zero.

[00:00:17.010]

And, good morning and welcome to PROSTEP TechDay, the meeting of the PROSTEP community community. I’m so pleased that you are here and so many of you are watching how we’re holding this online for the first time.

[00:00:32.490]

So thank you for giving this format a chance for making the most of this opportunity.

[00:00:38.730]

Thank you. We prepared a great deal for you.

[00:00:42.450]

You will be receiving lots of information, watching lots of presentations. They might be entertaining or even interactive. We’ll get onto that later.

[00:00:51.570]

But let me start by introducing myself. My name is Julia Bauer. I am a TV and event host. It is my great pleasure to be able to guide you through three sessions today.

[00:01:02.850]

This is the first session which will continue until 10:30 and deal with a data exchange platform open to OpenDXM GlobalX.

[00:01:14.520]

We will then have a break, then we will continue from 11 to 12:30. Looking at the topic of PDF Generator 3D. The last session is from 2p.m. to 3:30. There you can learn all there is to know about product suite OpenPDM, but that’s not all.

[00:01:32.850]

We have three exciting presentations held by clients and we also have an exclusive for you. Introducing the new traceability solution Open CLM. And beyond that, it will be a little bit interactive today. So do get involved. I look forward to receiving your questions. The idea is that this is an exchange. You can ask questions using your screen.

[00:01:56.730]

I will read these questions off the iPad and pass them on to our speakers during the Q&A at the end of the session, but also after every client presentation that you might want a more in-depth exchange.

[00:02:12.580]

This is possible as well. You will see a link on your screen at the end of every session. Click on this to enter another meeting where you can speak to a product manager.

[00:02:27.180]

So this event is about providing information, but it’s also about networking.

[00:02:33.600]

So you might also like to share this event with your customers and colleagues in German or English.

[00:02:40.950]

This is possible.

[00:02:44.490]

We are recording the event.

[00:02:46.770]

There will then be English subtitles and this will be made available to you online so you can then share it and enjoy the event once again.

[00:02:57.810]

So that’s all for me for now. I said quite a bit.

[00:03:01.630]

So I think it’s time to take a look at the agenda and to hear what’s new at PROSTEP.

[00:03:10.110]

I’d like to hand the floor to a man who has been involved in all this for 23 years and has headed the business unit products since 2012. Welcome to Peter Pfalzgraf.

[00:03:21.690]

Yeah, hello. Good morning and welcome again.

[00:03:27.240]

PROSTEP TechDay is the event at which we’d like to inform you in detail about our product solutions here in the first section. The first 90 minutes is about OpenDXM Global X. Let’s have a look at it in more detail.

[00:03:42.720]

We have various points on the program at the beginning

[00:03:47.580]

It will be about presenting news of PROSTEP, but also about what’s important.

[00:03:55.710]

And you know this already if you’ve taken part in TechDay before, we like to review what has happened since last day. Where are we?

[00:04:04.350]

And what about product development? That will be about the first 25 minutes, then about 9:25.

[00:04:11.820]

They should be a customer’s presentation and very happy that Alexander Myer from HBPO to you first. He will be reporting about the use of OpenDXX GlobalX with our new SAP ECTR integration that has been previously recorded. But then after that you will have the opportunity to ask questions personally.

[00:04:32.970]

Then a very important point is highlights from PROSTEP lab.

[00:04:37.470]

We would really like to show you what is happening at the moment in our product development, what topics we’re working on.

[00:04:44.280]

Our product manager Daniel Wegen will have demos and presentations and one that goes very well.

[00:04:53.310]

It’s already been mentioned our new product, OpenCLM we would like to give you a first preview. That’s going to be a topic for next year. But today for the first time and see what it actually is. This product contains is really a totally new PROSTEP prodcut.

[00:05:10.560]

And yeah, what is not allowed to go missing, of course, is a roadmap map.

[00:05:17.510]

Particularly, would you plan for next year, 2021, that will come afterwards. And here we have a separate Q&A session. You’ve already mentioned this. It’ll be done in several steps.

[00:05:29.390]

There will be a brief Q&A session after each presentation, and then at the end of the agenda during a session.

[00:05:39.500]

And you will have the possibility to join in the live chat with our product manager so that you can really ask your questions in detail after the event.

[00:05:53.180]

That’s what we have planned to do until about 10: 30 and done with this live session. Now a few general words about PROSTEP.

[00:06:02.990]

I have two pictures down at the bottom. Right. You can see that was the last TechDay that was really close to our headquarters where we are today.

[00:06:14.780]

Darmstadt Computer Center – The head of security you can touch.

[00:06:27.290]

We had our 25th anniversary with 300 people  in our head office in Darmstadt.

[00:06:32.780]

And that was really a very nice event. But unfortunately, such an event is not imaginable rescue at all.

[00:06:42.110]

We have about 280 people at PROSTEP now and we have a portfolio that covers several subjects.

[00:06:47.900]

I would like to show this to you once again and also present a few highlights from the last two years. What’s very important for us is consulting PLM management and process consulting. And as you can see in the top here in our PLM solution component.

[00:07:05.060]

It’s about implementing our solutions, customized software development, but then very much our own products, as you can see down the bottom once again, then that’s the basis of the whole thing going into our own products.

[00:07:19.700]

So what has happened?

[00:07:21.290]

Just a few highlights here in consulting. We acquired can buy a majority stake of the BHC accounts and his team of 35 people by then so right at the interface between PLM and Application Lifecycle Management ALM.

[00:07:45.230]

And there is topics that have to do with mechatronics, product, software development, et cetera, et cetera, software provider, and that we’ve been able to extend our expertise in consulting quite significantly and generally that we are now your partner for digital transformation.

[00:08:03.770]

There are a whole lot of white papers, if anything is out, to just have look on our website, download them about things like Industry 4.0 or digital digital twin.

[00:08:18.850]

Another topic also for last year, 2019, PROSTEP started a software development center in in Poland under the PROSTEP Poland – a very important extension for us to expand our know how our expertise in software development and that we both our individual software development, supporting software, large customers, but also product development.

[00:08:44.530]

And that takes us to the interface with our own products.

[00:08:48.880]

We have significantly expanded our capacity, our options here. And that takes us to our products now.

[00:08:55.900]

This is an overview of three here on the left hand side of our collaboration tool, OpenDXM, OpenPDM, PDF Generator 3D. And as we said, a preview from OpenCLM. But today, right now, in the first session, it will be about OpenDXM GlobalX. And that’s what I’d like to pass back to you.

[00:09:22.060]

Thank you, Mr. Pfalzgraf. These developments are truly fascinating. I would like to introduce our next speaker, who I’m sure you will know well, he’s been a member of the team since 1996 and he is in charge of product management. Who is it? Who else? Udoh Hering.

[00:09:39.010]

Hello. Thank you very much, Mrs. Bauer.

[00:09:43.780]

In the next few minutes. I will have a great honor to tell you something about the trends with GlobalX,

[00:09:51.130]

And we look forward to it.

[00:09:52.930]

Could I maybe jump in with a question beforehand? I’d be interested to know the market trends around OpenDXM GlobalX.

[00:10:02.230]

Yes, I would like to address that right away. I’ve prepared something for you. Well, now, if you look at this Gartner number, it says 75 percent. That means 75 percent of companies are active for cloud solutions, or at least, as it says here, have a strategy cloud first next year. And that means over the next few years, they will become our customers and will have to deal with cloud quite intensively.

[00:10:31.060]

And obviously, over the last two years, you already have done OpenDXM GlobalX , as you all know, at least with our old customers, should be prepared for an installation in a cloud environment.

[00:10:47.650]

And some of our customers have already done this in the suppliers, Amazon, Google Cloud platform, Microsoft Azure.

[00:11:00.670]

Three and a half years ago decided to offer something of our own cloud services. And we’re doing that quite successfully.

[00:11:12.070]

And please take us to the next slide and we’ll do that together with our service provider, the Darmstadt Computer Center, which is a data center certified according to the necessary standards for doing this and also has proven suitability for critical infrastructure and fulfills all requirements.

[00:11:35.680]

That means the infrastructure is provided by DARZ, the data center, and we provide OpenDXM GlobalX as as cloud service software as a software, as a service application or hand there.

[00:11:49.690]

As a matter of standard,  the customer takes care of administration of the solution, but when necessary, then obviously we offer extended services as well. That means that we can take care of this work for the customer and the customer can then focus entirely on using their next insight.

[00:12:11.020]

In future, we plan to offer further services on this platform, like, for instance, our OpenDESC conversion service, which enables specific OEM environments, the idea to convert customer data on and then store them.

[00:12:30.790]

The selection can be provided in various different ways. We have very term models.

[00:12:36.400]

Multitenant platforms will eventually reach several customers.

[00:12:39.760]

Of course, segregated can manage their data together with their partners or as a private solution, even as a hybrid solution. That is part of the solution involves service data, exchange platforms with the DARZ, for instance.

[00:12:54.340]

And certain components could then also be moment of own time and are also in different cloud environments as presented before in the cloud and or Microsoft, Microsoft or some other cloud providers which might already work with internally.

[00:13:15.010]

So cloud is going to be something we’ve going to have to deal with in the future as well besides functional extensions, which we’re going to hear about from our colleagues later on, we’ll have to focus on this. Back Mrs. Bauer.

[00:13:28.990]

Thank you.

[00:13:29.770]

That sounds very interesting. Mr. Pfalzgraf. I’d like to stick with the issue of the cloud. Mr. Hering has told us that this will continue to be an issue. What is the current situation? Are their clients already working with it?

[00:13:42.010]

Yes, certainly some are here on this slide. You can see a short excerpt of our list of customers on the left.

[00:13:49.000]

These are precisely the customers that Mr. Hering was just describing and our DARZ partner center. And these are customers, Osram Continental, VALEO, Siemens.

[00:14:02.470]

We said right from the beginning that they don’t want to operate.

[00:14:07.060]

This is a solution. They want to buy a service. And they did this right from the outset.

[00:14:13.660]

And on the right hand columns these are customers who said, we still have our own installations of OpenDXM GlobalX, but here VALEO has an implementation for a very specific use case.

[00:14:26.260]

It’s about the exchange of very large video data on a global basis, they use Amazon AWS Services. And there we have our OpenDXM GlobalX implement implemented. It’s very similar  at the bottom.

[00:14:43.090]

Um, they have a complete infrastructure based on Microsoft.

[00:14:51.640]

PLM system like TeamCenter, which will integrate with our OpenDXM GlobalX  and implement this tool.

[00:15:02.570]

On the right hand side, Google Cloud and third large platform again last year, we had a very extensive collaboration with the international automotive manufacturer using this platform and we have our OpenDXM GlobalX and the functionalities which we offer in this to be further optimized. And we still want to optimize them even further.

[00:15:25.250]

And that way we can collaborate seamlessly with such cloud infrastructures. So you can see there are a whole lot of customers in this cloud sector. Of course, we also have customers on premise, small examples of the kind, for instance, in America, automotive supplier to large customer of ours, but also a company in Germany and then our implementation CENIT.

[00:15:54.110]

It’s very much about integration in the back end system, which make it interesting for the customer to use on premise solutions. But you can see you have the bandwidth here..

[00:16:05.510]

All very interesting, Mr. Hering. Maybe we could go into more depth on the future. How will data exchange develop in the future?

[00:16:15.020]

Certainly we can talk about that.

[00:16:16.100]

It’s already been hinted at. There are market solutions, but there also are projects which are still being driven in research and development where we can generate new ideas.

[00:16:26.700]

And we took part in the SAMPL project. SAMPL is secure additive manufacturing platform.

[00:16:35.960]

What it’s about is that a manufacturer, for instance, needs spare parts and a print service provider is told that he can print the parts – a license or the number of licenses, how many parties amount to print it’s communicated and then, according to the data, have to be transmitted securely and precisely for that, OpenDXM GlobalX is used to assure secure data transmission. Beyond that, we have what I call a so-called block chain module, which is integrated and can be integrated into OpenDXM GlobalX so that these transfer processes can be packed up based on block chain technology.

[00:17:16.190]

So if you need anything like your company, please approach us. We’ll be happy to consult you.

[00:17:22.040]

We’ve prepared a few workshops so that the technology can be communicated A second research project digital called DigiTwin.  It’s about the existing factories, the to be scanned together with machines in the factories and the scans can then be used to digitize them. Once again, that was through machines positions within one level can be recorded. Based on that, then the data can be continued to be used in simulation or in manufacturing chains, etc.

[00:18:01.100]

A very exciting project which has only just started half a year ago.

[00:18:04.790]

Top right – TISAX.

[00:18:10.300]

Two years ago, we had something else in the same field,*inaudible*. We still do that, of course, but now we’ve added this new one we don’t hear much about. That’s an issue all of which originated in the automotive sector.

[00:18:21.800]

And it’s all about securing supply chains just to just describe it very simply, that you have to be able to ensure security data transmission, not just between the first partner, but also in the third and fourth partner, and also document that.

[00:18:39.410]

And for that GlobalX is perfectly suitable because we have respective mechanisms to ensure data protection and also transparency and traceability can be ensured. Now, a point which I would like to mention that has to do with cloud environments. We heard that before. We mentioned it already. And that’s something we have to deal with as well.

[00:19:01.010]

We are very well equipped for it and we have quite a lot to do.

[00:19:04.070]

Still, that’s about deployment. The fact the various cloud frameworks have to be supported IP to be able to deploy and scale, but we simply don’t need to have an enormous or open shift. Infrastructures have to be supported in context with that. Also, the functionalities the cloud provider platforms offer, which has to do with data transport, has to be fully exploited.

[00:19:34.700]

We had a very good POC project which delivered quite valuable insights that you can achieve very good performance for large data volumes later.

[00:19:47.420]

That’s the outlook. And I’d like to hand back to Mrs. Bauer.

[00:19:51.320]

Thank you. Now that we’ve looked into the future, I thought it might be time to look back at what has already been achieved in this field.

[00:19:59.750]

And I’m sure you’ve heard many things during the PROSTEP day in 2018 about OpenDXM, but it’s now two years later. And we have one man here who is ideally placed to tell us about it, not just because he’s been at the company for 22 years, but also because he is in charge of this area. Welcome, Daniel Wiegand.

[00:20:19.070]

Thank you very much.

[00:20:23.870]

What I want to say is what we have been doing since last day, 2018.

[00:20:29.600]

It was a new Web interface at the time. You probably remember we had you on time.

[00:20:36.590]

They were called to support us with this new interface.

[00:20:40.580]

We were just coming out for the release of nine zero that release is now taking place. And as you can see, we already have 9.1 and 9.2.

[00:20:54.560]

*inaudible* sending and receiving files and small administrative activities and with nine one which rolled out last November.

[00:21:05.890]

Activity, spaces and groups, etc., things like that.

[00:21:09.490]

Now, last week we’ve released 9.2 and we have a further big step with the administration functionalities of the provided.

[00:21:19.410]

Now, as I said yesterday, the last week, I’m sure most of you received an e-mail telling me that it’s available.

[00:21:31.090]

A lot has happened in the background infrastructure database support for many of our customers. That was an important point that both alternatives have to be offered.

[00:21:38.500]

We’ve done that with vertion 9.0 and 9.1  Microsoft, *inaudible*

[00:21:50.500]

*inaudible* make things with things like database export and import, which are much more powerful now because of the variety of migration project to migrate to productive databases as efficiently as possible and web interface design.

[00:22:06.790]

We have a few functional issues as well.

[00:22:09.280]

I don’t want to talk about them in detail, but one point perhaps generating ad hoc accounts which, you know, outside integration, for instance, that web client.

[00:22:20.170]

And you can really give the users the rights to your partner and for the partners so that the data exchange can be initiated without great administrative problems.

[00:22:35.740]

*inaudible* processing and integration is a file by the processing.

[00:22:41.260]

We’ve done quite a lot in order to run the processes, how they can be rolled out and distributed environments, how solutions can see the processing, quality control, the things like that.

[00:22:51.940]

But also in order to start the processes with 9.2, we have a CAD client which very simply CAD processes can *inaudible*.

[00:23:02.560]

Later on in session, I get to a few demos, then we can look in detail to see what we understand that to be this integration one, it’s about GlobalX being integrated with backend systems.

[00:23:17.530]

Some of our customers are familiar with this integration and integration team center integration that we’ve extended this year for the *inaudible* interface basically dashboard technology sector.

[00:23:35.170]

SAP ECTR – This link is now possible with local X and we also have a section of a process in that process which I linked with that naming.

[00:23:48.920]

*inaudible* has now been implemented.

[00:23:51.130]

These processes *inaudible* particular experience integration *inaudible* SAP ECTR is a good point to hand back to Mrs. Bauer, because we’re going to see a wonderful presentation on a customer’s.

[00:24:09.370]

Thank you. Now, you’ve almost done my job for me, for me. But I just have one thing to add very briefly. I mentioned at the start that you can ask questions. You can ask the experts here on the stage by writing them in the chat on your screen and then pass them onto the speakers during the Q&A session. And you can also ask questions about the next client presentation. Following this, we will ask the client questions directly.

[00:24:33.610]

You will now see a prerecorded presentation, but afterwards you can ask your questions directly as a client will be joining us online. So who is this client? He is from HBPO and is responsible for further developing and maintaining the PLM landscape. He communicates with the different technical departments. He has worked for HBPO for the last four years and will now tell us how easy data exchanges are using the OpenDXM GobalX SAP ECTR integration. Welcome, Alex Alexander Meyer.

[00:25:06.610]

Welcome and good morning from my side. My name is Alexander Meyer. I’m 31 years old .. *inaudible*.

[00:25:20.150]

We have fully integrated OpenDXM GlobalX including SAP ECTR.

[00:25:25.450]

And I would like to present that to you in a bit more detail today. I’d like to present the agenda today and tell you something about my employer. What is SAP ECTR – maybe some of you don’t know it yet. What is the integration look like and what has it got to offer at the moment?

[00:25:43.150]

And how can I integrate it and how can it be configured?

[00:25:46.990]

And then there will be a demonstration system, what the whole thing looks like to us and *inaudible*. HBPO, who are we? For 25 years now, we’ve been offering innovative and high quality products to the automotive industry.

[00:26:18.260]

*inaudible* the logistics of simply, but also to create and produce middle consoles, cockpits, active shutters, etc. *inaudible*

[00:26:36.730]

That was one of our first project and it went down very well.

[00:26:47.190]

We try to produce these products as close as possible to *inaudible*. That’s why we have 31 sites worldwide.

[00:26:54.360]

We are a tier one supplier, so we are called OEMs extended  Workbench.

[00:27:04.690]

This is something about our history in the early 90s that the whole thing started with an idea.*inaudible*

[00:27:18.670]

that went very well. And further project followed in.

[00:27:21.590]

And then in the subsequent years because of this attitude that joined those corporation in 1999. They were further sites at it,  in USA and also the Asian market .

[00:27:41.910]

Fuirther companies became aware of us in 2004,  Plastic Omnium,  started in the same. That turned into HBPO as we know it today. And not just an Asian market in the U.S. we are able to increase our turnover in 2017, a turnover of two billion, which was a milestone for us.

[00:28:12.770]

And last year, we were able to get the number of modules to six million?

[00:28:24.640]

In the meantime, we also have 2500 employees. So what is a SAP ECTR? My first job with HBOO was the introduction of ECTR, *inaudible replace that and the requirement for us to implement an integrated data exchange.

[00:28:51.090]

So we ended up with GlobalX at PROSTEP because that was the only company that we’re able to offer full integration SAP ECTR.

[00:29:02.760]

I’m not quite sure whether they’re happy new developments in the middle of the year, GlobalX, it was fantastic.

[00:29:10.380]

And that was also a reason for us to buy GlobalX.

[00:29:15.150]

And I would like to present what it has to offer – SAP ECTER for them to continue controls*inaudible*, *inaudible*

[00:29:39.420]

basically all the funding for flight systems can be integrated, not just engineering systems, but also electronic or think systems.

[00:29:50.630]

And that means all the divisions in a company can and then manage

[00:29:58.860]

the same data. The interface is clearly updated and can’t be compared with SAP at all, and it is fully modern and intuitive interface now users like very much as well. Now, integration into. *inaudible*

[00:30:30.160]

This is a fully integrated…

[00:30:37.260]

And we can data from SAP to GlobalX or GlobalX data to SAP.

[00:30:41.430]

That’s not a problem at all. And also the data that we want to send or want to receive and can be passed on from SAP to GlobalX or receive data in GlobalX and send them to SAP. *inaudible*.

[00:31:06.040]

And data are gathered in collections of containers.

[00:31:18.880]

all the processes are fully automated. very little work is needed or you have a few steps which typically have to be done manually.

[00:31:39.270]

*inaudible*

[00:31:43.930]

SAP ECTR and GlobalX 8.3 or higher.

[00:31:55.990]

And now the really interesting part of integration and configuration. *inaudible* zip file… We have an XML that also reflects the ECTR standard configuration there as well.

[00:32:26.070]

it’s the same on this addon. You just have to copy it and add on directory. And then the documents can be freely edited and configured according to our desires.

[00:32:42.030]

Additionally, the integration of configuration data, you have to have a few in the background it is necessary only because on the backend we have to implement an interface which is called Sub Connector . And additionally the sub-connector which is *inaudible* data model based on document types.

[00:33:11.550]

And that has to be set up. All of that is perfectly manageable.

[00:33:23.440]

now, demonstration.  as you can see, have already expanded the first two points from the so-called smart lists. At HBPO, we decided to keep three lists, for instance, of my proccesses with processing and export connections, all the screening processes for now. Then we have a list of processes. Which are not to be exported successfully and the final list, which we can figure out will continue, which contains a list of all sub processes which have already been sent before, but it’s important to say, and depending on the customers wishes, that can be configured freely and can be implemented very quickly.

[00:34:26.600]

once you get by with the ECTR configuration, it’s all very simple and intuitive.

[00:34:34.010]

Let’s move on from the smart lists and to the example project.  I’ve got an example, PROSTEP tech day two days ago, *inaudible* exported the package with the context, as you can see this as it’s called.  So this is the my and the blue file that’s also a symbol to indicate that it’s been successfully exported and test tube. That’s not the case yet.

[00:35:19.170]

It has not been exported.

[00:35:21.720]

Let’s go back. *inaudible* minutes before the exchange and the status of the program successful.

[00:35:35.930]

And today, if you want to go down, it was kind of an environment.

[00:35:42.370]

You can start an new exchange process.

[00:35:45.240]

Let’s go into the project data of the *inaudible* that is not put into this window yet and drag and drop that to the other window. And the other two products can be removed.  we can see we’ve got a slightly more extensive I’m to just illustrate that in 3-D  but if I make that look like to explore that.

[00:36:21.760]

*inaudible*we go straight to the respective product in this window of simple magic and again, drag and drop the product apart and shifted to my test to *inaudible*. And you can see it’s been successfully copied.

[00:36:40.100]

You have to know that the reference was copied.

[00:36:44.080]

We’ve got it here on *inaudible*You also want. *inaudible*part, but also the product and marking both drag and drop, drag and drop in the system.

[00:37:05.620]

And it worked.

[00:37:10.300]

what is important here is a copycat part of the product. To me, it’s quite sufficient. If I have the unit, *inaudible*

[00:37:22.670]

Again, a new *inaudible*that allows you to export. You export this to global X, this is the first step that I’m going to be sending this data from GlobalX system to SAP, *inaudible*

[00:37:50.320]

The order will be generated. I can see, because I’m too busy see the total of the order beginning at the beginning. I can select who is meant to receive this order. He’s my favorite user and

[00:38:13.570]

*inaudible* I can use a text search on the respective hits then illustrated at the bottom. I can also enter a test message and go to the type selection. The model is, you know. I’ve got my package in exchange package it two to six, *inaudible*

[00:38:53.840]

And I can see that at the top.

[00:38:59.170]

I can expand on this and you can see we have and I don’t really have the native data, that means the 3D data. But also further, what are these documents?

[00:39:10.780]

At the right. I can see a summary of the elements in this package, *inaudible* et cetera. We have set it up in such a way that the main points are preselected, these native data, he 3D data.*inaudible*

[00:39:37.710]

*inaudible*, but it could also say and PDF data, but now *inaudible*I can select that by and compresses that. That goes back to my selection.*inaudible*

[00:40:07.090]

Now I’m going back to the method to export*inaudible*and I can see tick is missing but  number of files and I’ve got one three one nine.

[00:40:20.230]

That’s one element I’ve just selected. Right. OK, that’s I want to send it on by the game.  And that brings me to the already. We kept it quite simple, this was quite comprehensive.

[00:40:44.190]

You can add a few further points, but we now have focused on the simple parts to illustrate the sum of ECTR on GlobalX interactions easily as possible. And that means that the third step, the end summary now of what we’ve done, we can see in receivers we have selected and which documents a number of documents and which type of documents these are and should have I forgotten this at the beginning. I can enter a message here in time. I can enter it.

[00:41:23.710]

and if I’m happy, then I can complete the order. And the whole thing is sent to GlobalX.*inaudible* We have the sub export and it’s as the data are transferred, , from the SAP system GlobalX and as soon as the data have arrived, we have a separate,

[00:42:06.960]

export order.  It always takes a few seconds or a few minutes. Because we’re not talking about small volume. I’ll have a look at SAP that’s a good time to illustrate the information in the SAP system *inaudible*

[00:42:26.380]

Here I can see additional information you want. I’ve got *inaudible* status as active as I. That means it was passed on successfully to GlobalX and GlobalX processes the data.

[00:42:45.600]

date and time and the size of its status is still editing – processing that should change in a moment. All right.

[00:43:06.010]

*inaudible* got the first feedback information that got into SAP and and without having to lookup in Global X, we could also see the status of the export order as an example *inaudible*

[00:43:24.850]

*inaudible* and continue to work in system. And half an hour later, you can look at the order again and see that it’s being sent  as it just happened in the background here *inaudible* from active to success.

[00:43:41.230]

That means it’s been successfully exported from SAP to Global X and also subsequently successfully.

[00:43:51.700]

And in a few seconds, they *inaudible*

[00:44:15.110]

Additionally,  subsequently I can set up a search in the system and look at precisely these procedures, these recipients that would be possible as well.So if it was a few weeks later, I would to look for something, I sent to this person *inaudible* where I send things to Person A and it show all those packages.

[00:44:47.380]

And I can find my process quite quickly that way.

[00:44:54.300]

That brings us to the last point conclusions goes on to say that the integration, setting up, integrating it was quite simple, as simple as it was a very simple one, because it’s as a matter of standard, it’s recommended that somebody see we did it ourselves and got the whole thing up and running within a day.

[00:45:21.290]

So, according the *inaudible* brave enough to try it out, it’s not black magic.

[00:45:28.520]

But what was very useful in our case was that we had the data sorted by project.

[00:45:35.750]

So access access rights were filed accordingly. That means the integration.

[00:45:43.130]

I’ll show that to you later on on the systems team for each project.

[00:45:51.380]

You have a data exchange folder and only those people have access to this project can also initiate a data exchange process.

[00:46:03.170]

So I don’t have access to Project A, so I can’t exchange any data in project a integration of add on at PROSTEP, very flexible. That was very important for us, that we didn’t have to change anything, that was very good.

[00:46:18.630]

So I would just have to say that this you can hardly tell that it’s an addon or a separate tool.

[00:46:28.430]

*inaudible* when it worked with ECTR but I would imagine it was an integrated part of the solution. And that’s very important later on. But what we saw in training.

[00:46:39.240]

Those people were fully familiar with the steps, the very few steps you had to carry out.

[00:46:49.710]

And the feedback was entirely positive. And we were highly satisfied.

[00:46:58.140]

I’d like to thank you very much for your attention at this point, and I will be available for you in the Q&A session together with Mr. Leland and I’m sure a few questions that popped up and we’ll answer them as well as we can.

[00:47:17.390]

my contact data here. Just in case you’re interested, of course, you feel free to get in contact with me so we can talk about these things.

[00:47:27.770]

Alexander Meyer, thank you. A wonderful video and thank you for taking the time to look on today. Welcome.

[00:47:36.940]

Good morning, Mrs. Bauer. Good morning, everybody in the studio. And, of course, welcome to all the participants.

[00:47:41.780]

Yes, good morning. It was a pleasure to watch your presentation, but beyond that, I think it’s generated some interest. We’ve already received some questions on the iPad. Those of you who have questions, please do continue to send them in. I’ll see them as they come in. But, Mr. Meyer, I suggest I start at the top and work my way through and really bombard you with questions. The first question is, do you use other integration options, such as outlook?

[00:48:06.980]

We use the Office Integration Outlook integration, of course, as well, and they’re fully integrated and we’re using them with very few problems so far.

[00:48:17.810]

So you’re not just using it, you’re using it successfully. That’s good to hear. On to question two, are you affected by the discontinuation of SAP  PLM SAP wants to offer Teamcenter in the future.

[00:48:32.780]

It’s not been totally discontinued. It’s going to be continued to manage to further develop just the collaboration *inaudible* as discontinued. *inaudible*

[00:48:48.050]

That’s also good to hear. So another question. How much training was required?

[00:48:58.060]

As it was a totally new development, Global X  was introduced together with SAP ECTR interface.

[00:49:06.690]

We had 30 minute sessions and I must say that’s really very, very easy and dealt with very, very quickly.

[00:49:14.560]

I do want to say it takes 30 Minutes of course mainly focused on global X and the short part was about integration and that was perfectly sufficient.

[00:49:26.510]

That’s a good example. Thank you. The next question is, did you need to make any adjustments to ECTR itself or was the plug in just imported?

[00:49:38.000]

The plugins, played and the adaptation that we wanted

[00:49:43.370]

as HBPO was configured accordingly.

[00:49:45.770]

But we can just looking at the standard the way addon *inaudible*

[00:49:52.270]

thank you. My last question for you is you mentioned that the installation was very simple.

[00:49:59.920]

How much time did you have to invest in installations during the project?

[00:50:05.450]

If we just purely look at*inaudible*.

[00:50:11.950]

That was short and sweet. Thank you for your informative and insightful remarks. Thank you for coming. We wish you every success in the future.

[00:50:23.860]

Now, we will continue here in the studio for our next speaker is Daniel Wegen once again. This time he will touch on the highlights from the PROSTEP Lab. That means the main focus will be processes, but also integration possibilities, the OpenDXM GlobalX and the relevant connections offer.

[00:50:46.330]

Have fun.

[00:50:53.010]

*inaudible*. I’m going to do next in the future for the afternoon. What have we actually accomplished?

[00:51:01.300]

*inaudible*I put a few things together now working. Let’s use this one. OK. CAD, I showed you this before, CAD processes very important issue, we’ve invested a lot in processing quality control so you can carry out these processes fully integrated into GlobalX. But what CAD process require is that you have a complete valid assembly in these processes so that conversion, can can be carried out accordingly and for what we use for using always a challenge.

[00:51:35.780]

How can these assemblies be put together about *inaudible*integration? That works very simply *inaudible* assemblies can break down those structures so that we can start these processes.

[00:51:46.650]

What we’ve done now is that based on the application that we have *inaudible* we built a CAD client, which I would like to show you about how the whole thing works.

[00:51:59.180]

So going to start with data, which we have locally *inaudible* data available.

[00:52:07.910]

Now, let’s start. The opening was the complete *inaudible* assembly. *inaudible*

[00:52:20.670]

And again, I can start CAD export of GlobalX when I do that, the application starts in the background.

[00:52:28.440]

It carries out its own analysis of the element elements which be broke down, all the dependent parts of being detected.

[00:52:37.860]

And it’s been put together in one data set.

[00:52:41.760]

That’s not the only thing we can do.

[00:52:43.920]

What we can also do is to offer the supply. We visualize what he wants to export .

[00:52:49.230]

And so we have a CAD preview which is rendered on the fly and you have a simplified CAD illustration of the geometry so we can have a look and see what’s in assembling.

[00:53:04.410]

But what do I want to export if I have more than one assembly that I want to send out here, I have the possibility to add further with drag and drop iotions and now take *inaudible*, which would just drag out the drag and drop the second set of data sided with the second structure.

[00:53:25.440]

So the whole thing is added, supplemented accordingly. But that is not only work of which elements. I can also say that directories I can select directory without knowing the file.

[00:53:38.070]

This directory is *inaudible* and can carry it out. This file detection on its own.

[00:53:51.880]

*inaudible*

[00:53:52.140]

Data sets of various assemblies can be sent off this way.

[00:53:55.200]

And what is also highly interesting is that I can even take directories I’ve prepared one here which have various  very often.

[00:54:02.730]

we don’t know it’s several files in one assembly. You don’t even know how to get them together. So the analysis takes care of that for us.

[00:54:11.530]

I’ll just drag it over to the directory and accordingly, it’s broken down various datasets.

[00:54:17.400]

So the analysis has determined that what these objects are and puts together data sets with the dependant components.

[00:54:28.230]

I can send that off exported accordingly.

[00:54:31.290]

I have to select one or several recipients, which I can select, and then I send it off that I’ve initiated GlobalX export and can send the data to my partners that way, or several partners.

[00:54:44.500]

And that’s the CAD kind available.

[00:54:52.230]

You can use that with the CAD extension and the next thing…

[00:55:00.280]

OpenDXM broker,*inaudible* the process which can define your conversion quality and could also transfer *inaudible*.

[00:55:20.500]

That doesn’t necessarily have to be generated on the GlobalX interface.

[00:55:25.930]

I can use this broker so that the processes can be sent off time control….

[00:55:34.360]

So the process of converting the checks, file transfer. So I can really automate that. And that makes sense if I have regular intervals of short intervals of which I have to send out parts of the data and use various channels, I don’t have to use the channel with GlobalX.

[00:55:51.970]

I can *inaudible*, but this way I could also initiate time control transfers

[00:55:59.790]

Third point, which I would like to present, they should also give you an outlook to what we will do.

[00:56:08.760]

Security is one of the key issues for OpenDXM GlobalX, we want to offer the best possible security.

[00:56:23.210]

*inaudible* we’ve done quite a lot.

[00:56:24.630]

We want to be in line with the data protection rules, *inaudible*, which is basically mandatory.

[00:56:34.980]

That means the user has to explicitly confirm set up with his account so that storage and his personal storage of his personal data is agreed with. That’s possible right now.

[00:56:47.850]

And the next thing they Udo Hering, TISAX is something is talking about at the moment is in a situation at the moment is that authentication methods play a role..

[00:56:58.770]

In fact, authentication plays a role and we have solutions in it today.

[00:57:03.480]

But they’ve been at GlobalX for quite some time at home or *inaudible*, for instance, as a provider.

[00:57:15.630]

*inaudible*, we’re going to the extent that with the next version, 9.3 but we want to provide that earlier on because it’s a very important issue.

[00:57:28.120]

So we’re going to have a fully integrated two factor authentication.

[00:57:37.550]

And it’s important for us to stress that we have penetration tests, which we take very seriously if you’re willing to safeguard security done by an external company, experts who do this every day of the week before 9.2 rolled out, which happened last week, actually the software was tested to a test that we had an unrestricted release for use in productive environments.

[00:58:05.430]

And you’ve probably been following this on your post, telling you that we are going to be available to apply online to because also how safety security patches the 9.1 and 9.0, because a few weaknesses were detected.

[00:58:18.840]

We fixed that right away, of course, that means we will continue with these tests with each major, major version. We will continue these penetration tests.

[00:58:28.790]

And that takes us to the last block, which I would like to have in this lab session.

[00:58:35.250]

That’s the integration.

[00:58:37.280]

We’ve just seen this film from Alexandra Meyer, SAP ECTR now, integration *inaudible* quite a lot has happened to the dashboard technology.

[00:58:50.870]

And for that, we’ve developed an entire new plugin so that we can integrate on the interface. And the principle is very similar to what happened.

[00:59:02.890]

*inaudible* we put together the order and then together the technology.

[00:59:09.150]

We like to send it off of the machine. I’d like to show you that as well.

[00:59:22.250]

Preconfigured data exchange on this dashboard, it’ll take a while for it to set up in what we can recognize, if, you know the elements of 3DExperience the structural editor is not ours, but it’s definitely in it.

[00:59:35.240]

But it’s one of the points at which *inaudible*work with it.

[00:59:41.080]

I can open an assembly accordingly and see you as a standard 3D preview.

[00:59:48.080]

It takes a while for it to set up .

[00:59:52.430]

And the idea is that with this data exchange solution, a plug in to what you can see on the left hand side of that widget, technology data exchange can be kept as simply as possible.

[01:00:04.580]

And we’ve seen that with Mr. Meyer already working with these collection objects as well.

[01:00:13.850]

*inaudible* of processes, data exchange processes, I can set that up by.

[01:00:21.980]

*inaudible* And by drag and drop I can drop it and this target.

[01:00:28.460]

And here I am able and if I am able to do it, to enter a little memo. I’ve got my collection object object that new status is created, just being generated.

[01:00:42.150]

It’s no information and no data, *inaudible*. That’ll take a while for the structure to be down. But it should do that, right. I’ve got to selected first.

[01:00:52.610]

OK, then I’ll show it to you and then there’s me on. I can see if data sets on right, which have already been added here, as we’ve seen that*inaudible* I can just use the search function and what is the experience of such structures? I want to send out with it to the founder.

[01:01:17.060]

I’ll just take that drag and drop function the name and add it as a further data set to the process that means that here  again, several data sets can be sent to my partner.

[01:01:31.340]

If I believe I’ve selected all the data I want to send out there again, possibility *inaudible*. I can pass it on to export and what happens in the background. You can recognize what Mr. Meyer just show you that GlobalX data Transfer Wizard for PDM data exchange processes for its use in all of our integration items.

[01:01:53.370]

And I have the possibility to select one or several recipients. I’m just going to choose one.

[01:01:58.420]

We’re just seeing a Mr. Meyer that we select several *inaudible* for one process.

[01:02:06.920]

Information could be sent with the recipient by typing it.

[01:02:11.990]

This wizard is based on *inaudible* which can be combined *inaudible*

[01:02:22.650]

You can see different with *inaudible* live demo you see the documents with the selected ideas and accordingly I can have that show but also have the possibility to add further files not managed by  3DExperience.

[01:02:42.400]

A CREO part, for instance, can be added *inaudible*

[01:02:59.390]

the test took place much earlier in the plugin. What we can check is we know with the data they’re going to know which data is being released. Are they allowed to be sent at all? So accordingly, I can have this integrated with the check and I get a summary.

[01:03:16.820]

I just send off the data at this point to sit here now in the background of structural information generated that is going to be sent to the OpenDXM GlobalX Success generated that we will take over the processing that that’s running on the background.

[01:03:37.790]

The user

[01:03:40.030]

is not burdened by conversion check out things he can continue working and he get the feedback and status in terms.

[01:03:49.460]

Get to refresh it and you can see that the status is active now. So at the moment it’s still running in the background. That will take a while for the data be checked out and prepared accordingly.

[01:04:00.980]

But what it has done at this point already is that I can see feedback there is this transfer being started that’s constantly, say, in this collection and is sending connections with these very experienced members.

[01:04:19.650]

Data can be accessed you can follow accordingly who took care of what carried out which transfer.

[01:04:27.590]

That’s very important information that this can actually be traced here at the movement. That’s very important to our customers.

[01:04:35.900]

And refresh, let’s see what’s happening.

[01:04:38.730]

Still exporting, but I can use this opportunity to simulate the other side. It’s the building design.

[01:04:45.050]

We’ve just sent a transfer to Mrs. Wong.

[01:04:49.400]

I’m just going to sign in and have a look at what set up, you know, is that that uses terms of use and use of terms.

[01:05:00.580]

You has to be accepted. We’ll do that at this point.

[01:05:07.400]

And data right at the beginning here, we can see the data packet has been sent, Mr. Schmidt sent the process. I’m just going to click on the file. The process starts the whole of the download.

[01:05:25.840]

and opens the file.

[01:05:29.980]

all the parts which are selected in a collection or have been sent to my partner and he can get in working with them and could also use the same portal to send the files back.

[01:05:42.550]

So that was a brief, good experience.

[01:05:47.770]

*inaudible* that was to give you an overview of what you can offer to buy a new version.

[01:05:54.280]

Thank you very much, Mrs. Bauer.

[01:05:59.330]

Thank you, Mr. Wegen. That looked very interesting.

[01:06:04.460]

And finally, we’ve reached that point on the agenda that I’m sure you were waiting for. I mentioned it in my introduction. We are presenting an exclusive new product. We’ve just heard that the issue here is traceability, particularly concerning complex development projects. And this will now be possible with OpenCLM. It’s a completely new product.

[01:06:26.120]

So it’s worth introducing a completely new member of the team as well.

[01:06:30.650]

You came from the beautiful Franconia, from the car manufacturer Sheffler to Darmstadt. He is now responsible for open season as product manager. But please give him a warm welcome.

[01:06:42.650]

Feel free to applaud in front of your screens at home. Fabrice Mogo Nem.

[01:06:47.570]

So thank you very much. If I missed it, I’m very happy to be able to introduce you our new OpenCLM solution.

[01:06:58.250]

As you can find out that OpenCLM is a solution which can take care of a lot of problems. For us, it’s a new milestone – digitalization strategy, what it’s about.

[01:07:08.600]

After a brief introduction, however, introduction, I would like the field working. And as a company today, it’s nothing new to say that this environment is in constant change.

[01:07:20.300]

What’s new is the speed and foreseeability with which these changes take place.

[01:07:26.000]

The Corona epidemic, as an example is one example that one singular event can wreak havoc with planning solutions.

[01:07:40.070]

That means that companies in future you have to try to become more flexible.

[01:07:44.330]

But what’s also very important is that all the potential for innovation and also cost reduction and risk reduction, these potentials should not be left barren.

[01:07:55.130]

We have to follow up with them and stick on it.  As a company that we see plenty of potential, particularly here in the overcoming shortcomings and processes in IT landscapes. We’re dealing with a significant growth in IT systems.

[01:08:16.130]

And they should be integrated their numbers to confirm that, that we have plenty of potential which can still be exploited, as you can see the left hand column.

[01:08:27.290]

The cause of our problems and processes, which are not ducktail. We lose lots of money.

[01:08:35.210]

Sixty one percent, for instance, *inaudible* times dedicated to shadow work. This is work that you cannot necessarily build to your customers. If you analyze this 22 percent of this waste is because people searching for documents and information. This phenomenon is certainly not the norm in many companies.

[01:08:58.280]

And jobs has been created, *inaudible*

[01:09:03.470]

Certainly document hunting is certainly not a new term for this document. *inaudible*

[01:09:12.890]

So we’ll have to do something in the future about this. And the second column is expressed in dollars.

[01:09:17.720]

You can see how many dollars are spent in America guaranteed

[01:09:24.440]

And if I can reduce that to the automotive industry, money can be spent on warranty claims.

[01:09:32.450]

And a huge share of that is due to lack of support for implementation of compliance requirements like traceability.

[01:09:42.200]

And that is also compliance because lack of transparency within processes, we oppose that process.

[01:09:51.200]

I think this further down the line *inaudible* no longer need dozens of discussions to hunt documents or get a status on the development process or product maturity you’d get *inaudible* the traceability in your own domain that you don’t need to make use of any solutions.

[01:10:23.630]

And just imagine how secure it would feel coming up to know that if you had the possibility to get all the reports at the press the button just to express relief with a good feeling specifically  automatic, you’d be excellently prepared. These challenges were coming up in the future and we at PROSTEP are going to face them because after 25 years we have expertise in the PLM industry.

[01:10:51.140]

We have the expertise to be able to provide exactly this kind of solution.

[01:10:55.280]

We’re going to bundle all our competency, starting with consulting, strategic consulting competencies, then participate.

[01:11:02.180]

It’s very important that we offer a tailor made use case.

[01:11:07.520]

We need to offer the right benefits for an introductory abidin and based on that, they’ll be able to draft a specification configuration for OpenCLM.

[01:11:18.570]

And there are further elements which we would like to orchestrate for OpenCLM.

[01:11:27.200]

Our open plm solutions will allow us to build a bridge in the heterogenous processes.

[01:11:36.380]

*inaudible* GlobalX integration.

[01:11:39.860]

In interacting with our products and working environments that we don’t need to do familiar work environment to be able to exchange data with your partners, with OpenCLM that will be possible future.

[01:11:53.990]

We’re offering GlobalX at this point as well, and at this point will allow you to guard these data beyond tools and transfer securely to your partners with the documents you have to generate a 3D .

[01:12:11.810]

You have the possibility to convert it to your on that document standards.

[01:12:19.700]

And that way that way, working together with several boards, meet groups, analysis is the PROSTEP iVIP association and VDA.

[01:12:30.200]

So there are various work groups who are active in the *inaudible* for the standardization and a data network working on that and solutions like TDP – digital paper.

[01:12:49.250]

*inaudible*

[01:12:51.320]

but also connected data as well as in future with traceability.

[01:12:56.180]

From our point of view, that is precisely the elements that you need to, so that in future you will be positioned even better.

[01:13:06.450]

So some of you will probably be wondering, is PROSTEP offering a PDM system? No there are plenty of PDM systems on the market already.

[01:13:18.390]

They also have their justifications. What we see is that many customers, are more complex due to complexity, product development

[01:13:31.350]

to make several vendors instead of a one vendor strategy.

[01:13:36.420]

And, we feel very much at home in such integration scenarios *inaudible*

[01:13:47.250]

That’s the best starting point for OpenCLM now with our integration abilities.

[01:13:53.100]

We want to log on all these different systems and offer an added value, offering an interface for all. There are further imaginable scenarios integrated, if you approach this integration as a first step for some customers to see.

[01:14:15.060]

*inaudible*

[01:14:15.480]

The integration of tools can be tested for MBSE, NASA currently a customer, which I may mention this point with OpenPDM oslc we’re integrating DOORS with MagicDraw and Windchill so that these tracing, this tracing between systems can be reflected with OpenCLM the possibility scenario and so that are very, very *inaudible*systems to achieve traceability in general reports, etc..

[01:14:48.780]

These are possibilities we have in the architecture which we can support, and that is basically the essence of OpenCLM, not a PDM system but based on our competence in integration processes, we can use data and generate extra value.

[01:15:06.200]

I’m very excited to hear when you’re going to start getting off OpenCLM now. We’re basing this on many modules which will make today. So first, POC, we have the possibility to substantiate these application scenarios, as some of you can do today.

[01:15:24.590]

So in January 21, I will have the first demo for OpenCLM with this demo *inaudible*

[01:15:33.650]

So we have to use cases.

[01:15:36.590]

But the first version of, as you know, OpenCLM available July 21 is up. And up until then, there’ll be plenty of time to get on contact with you and talk about the different use cases and analyze the details.

[01:15:53.480]

From July, we can become active, OpenCLM with your company.

[01:15:59.030]

Those were essentially the points I prepared for today.

[01:16:01.970]

I’m also very happy that I will have the possibility to promote such a solution at PROSTEP that means our colleagues they are very committed to this and are willing to face this challenge in future for you to be flexible and more successful. Back to Mrs. Bauer.

[01:16:20.450]

Mr. Nem, thank you. I know this is a true innovation.

[01:16:26.240]

I think we’re all wondering what else can possibly come, what kind of integration options? New functions. In other words, what is the roadmap? This is the first question, Mr. Wegen. Over to you.

[01:16:36.950]

OK, thank you very much. Now, this is what the next version of the next version is.

[01:16:43.880]

*inaudible* brief overview of which versions will follow and perhaps three, the colors will GlobalX as planned 9.2, *inaudible* on the market on this.

[01:17:03.470]

*inaudible* November 2021 patch versions, which would be you to patch versions such as the one in the back of our minds in the mind one patch.

[01:17:18.860]

But the situation has changed so much that customers now are following the updates much closer than quite a lot of the updates are quite a lot simpler now. So that’s the need for the patch versions is no longer there.

[01:17:33.440]

9.2 is definitely our focus, the green ones, those the PDM integration, *inaudible*

[01:17:41.780]

That’s because we follow the  OpenPDM technology Mirko Theiss will certainly have something to say about that later on.

[01:17:50.690]

And this year, promote the switch to 8.7 and next year then switch to 9.0

[01:17:59.600]

I’ll tell you just a moment as well.

[01:18:02.000]

And then we have the version that was on following the same course, but a very much project driven.

[01:18:09.350]

So the release dates are a bit less stringent. So it’s possible that the preliminary version, depending on what kind of need there is in the project.

[01:18:21.080]

Now, the orange color in the file, that’s a classic OpenDXM currently available in the market of its version 6.6 and 6.7 will be delivered with and release.

[01:18:35.280]

And that’s how we’re going to do it probably next year. And now GlobalX a few buzzwords. What are the main topics to be focusing on?

[01:18:43.460]

What’s the biggest one? Of course, Cloud.

[01:18:48.850]

We heard about cloud infrastructure before we carried out the first preliminary steps has been carried out so that the strong gains in performance by cloud infrastructure can be exploited in our case to  so-called firewall to really have a regional distribution way because data is growing., We want to support that by increased cloud infrastructure. The next main topic is that the entire administration is to be integrated beyond the old one, which is technologically speaking quite already, should no longer be delivered.

[01:19:27.590]

And that’s the objective in 9.3.

[01:19:31.190]

So that we could have taken that step, *inaudible* functionalities task reports, the reports are to be reflected better in the new interface has been done so far,  things like self-service.

[01:19:51.290]

And that’s a topic which pops up again and again so you can *inaudible*. Administrational work can be saved on here.

[01:20:00.590]

You can give users the opportunity to register themselves.

[01:20:08.380]

 then responds to export processes.

[01:20:11.020]

At the moment, in GlobalX they’re totally disconnected but for PLM scenarios that’s very important so that we know when files come back, which  process do they actually belong to *inaudible* extending that authentication – two factor authentication. I mentioned that be based *inaudible* algorithm.

[01:20:30.400]

So there are a whole lot of them and tokens for that with quite a limited effort you carry out two factor indication *inaudible*

[01:20:40.300]

And then that’s what we definitely want to do in GlobalX

[01:20:44.890]

And then on top, right, we have the two topics direct integration, PDM integration, switching to architecture and PDM nine next in Mirko Theiss’ section, you’ll hear quite a lot about OpenPDM 9 different architecture, which is much closer to connect is.

[01:21:07.010]

And we’re going to distribute things better. And again, it’s going to be talked about being much more efficient in transferring large data *inaudible* distributed environments and teams, active workspaces, etc..

[01:21:24.760]

I want to extend the client team.

[01:21:27.430]

It’s going to make something happen as well. So we want to generate a PDM, so we extend our application as well.

[01:21:34.600]

So that was the brief overview about the subject topics we have to talk about.

[01:21:40.330]

If you have any further questions, I would like to refer you to live chats, but I’m sure Mrs. Bauer will have something to say about them as well.

[01:21:47.380]

Exactly. Mr. Wegen, thank you. However, I think we should start by gathering the questions that you have already sent me to my iPad. If you have any further questions, I think if anything, during the discussion, please don’t hesitate to ask. We will see them and ask the speakers. So let’s get started with the Q&A. The first question is for you, Mr. Wegen.

[01:22:09.660]

Is it possible to control the classic OpenDXM using the dashboard?

[01:22:14.440]

Yes, that works.

[01:22:15.930]

So we do have this technology, the Wizard technology, and that decides whether it’s a DXM or GlobalX order.

[01:22:25.930]

So the point is not the plugin, but later downstream at our side.

[01:22:31.300]

Yes. Thank you. The second question was addressed to Mr. Meyer, but I think you might be able to answer it as well. Mr. Wegen.

[01:22:39.130]

It is linked to HBPO, which components ensure that the dispatch data has a sufficient maturity level, for example, release status.

[01:22:51.940]

We do have rights tests, checks in the system that’s been shown that happens on the plugin side.

[01:22:58.300]

The status is actually checked.

[01:23:00.550]

How that’s implemented, technically, perhaps we can talk about that in the chat round.

[01:23:08.140]

So this will be clarified soon. Keep watching. I will tell you then how to access the chat session, but we’ll continue with the questions first. Another one for you.

[01:23:17.470]

You’re in high demand.

[01:23:20.110]

What is the status of a Teamcenter integration? The status of a Teamcenter center   active workspace, that’s something we have to deal with right away.

[01:23:38.970]

Integration in active workplace can be addressed here for the classic Teamcenter *inaudible* that’s already possible today.

[01:23:48.180]

*inaudible*we  have the respective plugins available so that they’re open the OpenDXM Global X and OpenDXM classic jobs can be generated.

[01:23:54.460]

So both ways for export and import.

[01:23:58.300]

We have a finished solution also based on with the technology, which is quite similar to what we’ve seen in the context of SAP and 3DExperience.

[01:24:06.570]

And also plenty of customers have been useful. Yes, exactly many customers have the use already?

[01:24:11.220]

You have good answers. I’ll stick with you. Is it possible to look at the exact security breach, nine point nought nine point one breach?

[01:24:21.860]

We’re not going to disclose it.

[01:24:23.100]

We’re not going to do that because we need a certain degree of know how in order to look  in order to exploit this gap.

[01:24:31.180]

So*inaudible* a gap in our firewall. Which is what which was in our firewall. Very important.

[01:24:39.510]

Yes, it was there that we do need an active session.

[01:24:44.040]

And that’s all I can say that I have to have had an session and you have to know the weakness and then and you could carry out on this file.

[01:24:55.410]

But we can’t issue any details at this point.

[01:25:00.090]

Yes, too much of a good thing if I have another question about HBPO, but I’ve been told that you can maybe answer this. I’m sure you’ll be very tired afterwards and be happy when HBPO implements GlobalX. Is anything converted into formats that are not available in SAP?

[01:25:18.840]

As far as I know, not or not yet. Perhaps we could convince Mr. Meyer he might have seen the presentation as well and how much we can do.

[01:25:26.130]

That’s what we’ve done since the transfers are still carried out next SAP ECTR *inaudible*.

[01:25:36.330]

*inaudible* but also in the background will be and carried out to the partners.

[01:25:42.850]

but in theory, that’s possible.

[01:25:44.650]

Great question. OK, then we’ll move on to Linux.

[01:25:49.300]

Is there an Linux integration of GlobalX so that the data received can be continuously processed automatically?

[01:25:58.330]

Well, thank you very much for the wishes. Linux. We support Windows Systems. That’s because no debate there, no further processing of data.

[01:26:08.260]

It depends on what the system which is meant to be *inaudible* via post processing process is done in Python. I mean, two independent platforms as well. And then it depends what a system does have and also whether we can carry out a lot of basically our components are have Linux capability.

[01:26:28.600]

That sounds good. I have one last question for you. Again, it starts with hello, everyone. But I think it’s meant for you. It continues. Does that mean that the GlobalX Docker container will also be available in the future and can be installed on premise?

[01:26:44.950]

Well, that’s for him. I see the question as being passed on.

[01:26:50.560]

That’s definitely the plan that we’re tentatively moving in that direction to see what we can provide in future. It’s a bit early days to talk about that. That’s certainly going to be an issue next year. And no later than two years from now, we’re going to have another tech day, but that’s the direction we will be heading in.

[01:27:08.920]

That’s a great answer to bring all of this to a close by looking into the future. Thank you to our speakers, but also to our listeners for being here and asking questions.

[01:27:20.500]

What’s next?

[01:27:22.090]

I’ve already said that the live sessions are starting.

[01:27:25.210]

You can click on a link on your screens now to be transferred to the next team meeting and then you can ask Mr. Meyer questions, for example, to tie up any loose ends so it’s possible to network and exchange ideas.

[01:27:43.120]

Then we’ll continue here with two exciting sessions. The next one will start in about half an hour at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 12:30. The subject of this session will be PDF Generator 3D. There’ll be a client presentation again and a Q&A session. The third session from 2-3:30pm. The third session will be about all there is to know about Product Suite OpenPDM. As already mentioned, you can watch this session again as it has been recorded and it will have English subtitles.

[01:28:14.680]

It will be available online. You can share it or watch it again.

[01:28:20.680]

All the best. Thank you for logging on. See you soon.
