SET Level Partners Present Simulated Traffic Scenarios

Before automated vehicles are allowed to take to the road, their safety must be tested using numerous simulations as not all driving situations can be tested on real roads. In the joint SET Level project, PROSTEP is working together with 19 partners from industry and academia on developing an appropriate simulation technology for this purpose.

Online and interactive: First PROSTEP CONSULTING DAY

The first PROSTEP CONSULTING DAY will be held 15 April 2021 – a date to enter in your calendar. With our interactive online event, we want to show customers and interested parties from manufacturing industry the strategic concepts we use to help them shape digitalization so that they are better prepared to meet the challenges posed by rapid change.

Strategic partnership for the 3D printing of spare parts

PROSTEP has entered into a strategic partnership with the Dutch technology company AMbrace, which is developing a service platform that makes it possible to 3D print spare parts. AMbrace will use our OpenDXM GlobalX data exchange platform to make 3D print data available in combination with SAMPL technology for the tamper-proof exchange of 3D printing licenses.

Joint project ImPaKT aims to make impact analysis easier

January saw the launch of the joint project “ICT-enabled model-based impact analysis in product development”, or ImPaKT for short, which is being funded with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Within the framework of the project, PROSTEP will be extending its OpenPDM family to include a software module for the cross-domain coordination of changes and validating the functionality of the solution together with industry partners.

Joint project ImPaKT: Making impact analysis in product development easier

The more complex and variant-rich products become, the more time-consuming it is for companies to reliably analyze and evaluate the technical and financial impact of changes. The challenges grow when a large number of partners and domains are involved in the product development process. Impact analyses are designed to help companies identify the possible impact of product changes in advance. A consortium or research institutes, software vendors and user companies, under the leadership of the Heinz Nixdorf Institute at the University of Paderborn, Germany, is developing a model and IT-based approach with the aim of making this type of analysis in product development easier.

Successful TISAX Audits at PROSTEP AG

PLM consulting and software company PROSTEP was certified in accordance with TISAX and it has since extended the scope of this certification. In addition to company headquarters in Darmstadt, the branch offices in Berlin and Munich have recently also passed their TISAX audits with flying colors.

OSRAM Continental relies on data exchange from the cloud

OSRAM Continental is one of the first automotive suppliers in Germany to have moved its entire IT landscape to the cloud. The joint venture, which was founded two years ago and combines the expertise of the two parent companies OSRAM and Continental in the fields of lighting, electronics and software, exchanges product data via PROSTEP’s cloud-based data exchange service.

PROSTEP builds digital twins for production

Together with the Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) at the University of Hanover and the technology service provider isb, PROSTEP, a PLM consulting and software company, is offering its customers a comprehensive new service for digitalizing their existing production systems and optimizing their production processes.
