Digital Twin

PROSTEP Insight Days

PROSTEP’s product family grows closer together

PROSTEP has intensively developed its solutions for Digital Thread, PLM integration and data exchange over the past two years and is increasingly making them available as Software as a Service (SaaS) in the cloud. At PROSTEP INSIGHT DAYS, we explained to customers and interested parties where the journey is headed: our product family will grow even closer together in the future.

PROSTEP Insight Days 2023

PROSTEP weaves the digital thread at INSIGHT DAYS

In order to achieve end-to-end digitalization, companies need not only powerful integration and collaboration solutions, but also expert advice and support in transforming their PLM architectures. At PROSTEP INSIGHT DAYS 2023, they found both from a single source. Around 150 customers and interested parties used the online event to find out about PROSTEP’s comprehensive portfolio of consulting and solutions for designing digital continuity. The Mars Rover served as a guiding thread for navigating through the program.

PROSTEP INSIGHT DAYS on 22 and 23 March 2023 online and live

PROSTEP INSIGHT DAYS on 22 and 23 March 2023 online and live

Darmstadt, February 2023 – On March 22 and 23, 2023, PROSTEP will provide customers and interested parties with an insight into its current range of solutions and consulting services at the PROSTEP INSIGHT DAYS. The central theme of the event is the digital thread within the company and in the supply chain. PROSTEP will present innovative integration concepts to participants and demonstrate their implementation using the Mars Rover test bed. The two-day event will take place online, but with live presentations, professional moderation and the opportunity for interaction. On the evening of the first day there will also be a recap session in English. Participation in the online event is free of charge.

PROSTEP BHC

A turning point for PLM or why ALM is becoming increasingly important

Application lifecycle management (ALM) could become a game changer in PLM environments. A joint study conducted by PROSTEP and BHC analyzes the associated market and application environment. In an interview with our guest author Dr. Bernhard Valnion, agricultural machinery manufacturer CLAAS explains why it decided to focus on one tool provider when choosing a PLM platform.

OpenCLM

OpenCLM with enhanced impact analysis and maturity monitoring

PROSTEP is launching the new version 1.2 of its OpenCLM solution for digital thread and end-to-end traceability. In addition to enhanced capabilities for cross-domain impact analysis, automated baselining and maturity monitoring, it provides even better support for the cross-enterprise exchange of structural and metadata for simulation.

PLM Shipbuilding

Bridging the gap between business and PLM architectures

From a strategic viewpoint, the more complex PLM landscapes in the shipbuilding industry become, the greater the importance of enterprise architecture (EA). This refers to the coordination of corporate strategy, business architecture and organization, information flows, application architecture and IT infrastructures. The consultants at PROSTEP provide you with support when it comes to designing EA-compatible PLM architectures.

end to end digitalization white paper

Model Based Definition: The Path to the 3D Master

The end-to-end use of digital information in engineering is made more difficult today by the fact that 2D drawings are still a central source of information for subsequent processes in many companies, alongside the 3D model. As a result,
information relevant to production or quality is not available in machine-readable form. The implementation of the 3D
master concept is therefore the first step on the way to the digital thread and the Model-Based Enterprise. This white paper describes why it is a good idea to go down this path and what challenges are associated with it in the PLM context.

PLM

Slicing the PLM elephants

Many companies are facing the challenge of modernizing their now aging PLM landscapes. This is especially true of the PLM pioneers among them, who rolled out the first management systems for their mechanical product data more than 20 years ago. In many cases, these systems are no longer subject to further development or they no longer meet the new requirements for developing cyber-physical systems, which incorporate a high proportion of electronics and software. Their software architectures make it difficult to quickly integrate the new tools and features needed to respond agilely to new market and customer requirements.
