SIEMENS Partnerships

PROSTEP expands partnership with Siemens Digital Industries Software

PROSTEP has been developing standards-based integration solutions for the Siemens Digital Industries Software product family for many years. We have now expanded our long-standing partnership so that the Polarion ALM™ and the MPM software Teamcenter® for Manufacturing can be integrated in our integration platform OpenPDM. The aim is to provide customers with even greater support for end-to-end digitalization.

PROSTEP develops service offering for cloud-native PLM integration

PROSTEP’s PLM integration platform OpenPDM can be used in hybrid cloud scenarios since version 9.0. In the future, we will also offer it as an integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). In close cooperation with Arena, a PTC Business, we are currently developing a cloud-enabled standard integration between PTC’s cloud-native PLM solution Arena, and Atlassian’s ALM application Jira, which is also cloud-native.

PROSTEP Team

PROSTEP moves into new office in Böblingen

PROSTEP AG is consolidating the activities carried out by its various offices in the Stuttgart area in a new office in Böblingen. The main reasons for choosing the new, state-of-the-art business premises were its attractive location, good transport links, short distances to the carmaker Mercedes-Benz and its proximity to PROSTEP’s subsidiary BHC, which is located in the same building.

Automated Driving

Automated driving is not the answer in every situation

Professor Frank Köster is the founding director of the Institute for AI Safety and Security at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and one of the coordinators of the joint SET Level project, which focuses on safety in the context of automated driving. In this interview, he explains the importance of simulation and artificial intelligence for the development of automated vehicles.

ALM

What is the state of the automotive OEM’s ALM strategy?

The growing proportion of software and electrics/electronics in products, the associated increase in product complexity, ever stricter legal requirements, and support for new business models make end-to-end digitalization across different domains a MUST for automotive OEMs. It will, however, be a long and arduous journey. So, what does the automotive OEM’s ALM strategy look like?

PROSTEP Growth

PROSTEP expects strong growth this year

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, PROSTEP continued to grow and hire additional staff during the course of the last business year. We expect an even stronger surge in growth in 2022. We are urgently looking for new employees and partners who can help us turn our ambitious plans for growth into action and provide us with support in implementation projects.

Putzmeister integrates French subsidiary in group-wide environment

Heterogeneous IT system landscapes lead to higher IT costs and make collaboration more difficult. Putzmeister has therefore consolidated the CAD and PDM landscape at its French subsidiary PL2M and integrated it in the group-wide environment. The PLM experts at PROSTEP assumed responsibility for converting and migrating the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire data, including the design history, to the NX format.

PLM ALM Webinar

Webinar on state of PLM and ALM integration in industry

Digital Thread or digital continuity are a major challenge for manufacturers of mechatronic and software-driven products. In particular, the integration of application lifecycle management (ALM) with other domains is often still deficient. This is one of the key findings of a joint study presented by PROSTEP subsidiary BHC and PROSTEP in a webinar.

PROSTEP Presentations at VVM Funding Project’s Mid-term Event

How can automated driving systems be reliably tested and safely put on the road? This is the subject of the project “Verification & Validation Methods” (VVM), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. At the mid-term event on March 15 and 16 participants will present initial results. Project partner PROSTEP will also be represented at the online event with two presentations. The PROSTEP speakers will present the demonstrator of a traceability solution (TRACY) that supports the verification and validation process. It is developed as part of the project and is freely available to all participants for the duration of the event.
