PROSTEP is expanding its long-standing partnership with PLM manufacturer Dassault Systèmes to provide the company’s customers with comprehensive support for their digitization initiatives. We can now develop integration solutions for the public cloud variant of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as well as connect our OpenDXM GlobalX data exchange platform to 3DEXPERIENCE in a more flexible way.
PROSTEP and Dassault Systèmes have been closely cooperating for years on the development of integration solutions for connecting the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to other enterprise applications. These solutions are based on our proven OpenPDM platform for PLM integration, migration and collaboration. It offers standardized integrations between 3DEXPERIENCE and Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP, Aras Innovator and Primavera, for example, which minimize the integration effort for customers and ensure a high degree of investment security.
On the basis of our long-standing collaboration, we have extended our partner agreement so that in future we can also develop integration solutions for the public cloud variant of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. They must meet particularly high data security requirements.
Dassault Systèmes has therefore developed a new integration architecture specifically for this purpose, the Enterprise Integration Framework (EIF). A 3DEXPERIENCE-SAP connection was released as the first integration solution based on the new architecture.
In addition, we will in future be offering a 3DEXPERIENCE-OpenDXM GlobalX integration officially approved by Dassault Systèmes to the market. It enables data exchange with customers, partners and suppliers to be initiated directly from the PLM environment (on premises), ensuring data consistency and traceability of exchange processes at all times. The new integration is a further development of the existing integration solutions to ENOVIA and offers Dassault customers even more flexibility when using our data exchange solution in different 3DEXPERIENCE scenarios, including the new PLM Collaboration Services (Power’By).
The expansion of our partnership with Dassault Systèmes is also an important step in our cloud strategy. It gives us the opportunity to fully exploit the potential of the cloud-enabled architecture of our new OpenPDM version 9 and to provide customers with optimal support for cloud integration scenarios. The use of cloud PLM applications has the advantage for them that they do not have to procure, implement and operate infrastructure and applications. This not only saves investment and personnel costs, but also enables more flexible scaling of the entire PLM environment.
