Drinking water has made BRITA what it is today. The manufacturer of water filters and water dispensers has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years. At the same time, the company recognized how important end-to-end information flows in product development, marketing and sales are when it comes to global expansion. Which is why it has designed a sustainable PLM/PIM process and IT architecture with PROSTEP’s help.
PROSTEP has been offering integrations between SAP’s ERP solutions and Dassault Systèmes’ cloud-based PLM platform 3DExperience (3DX) for a while now. Using our OpenPDM integration technology, we are now also able to develop connectors for connecting the PLM solutions Teamcenter from Siemens and Windchill from PTC to the private or public 3DX cloud.
PROSTEP has developed a new connector for its OpenPDM SHIP integration platform that enables read and write access to the Autodesk Revit BIM system. Among other things, it offers full access to REVIT information like BOM and drawing for a PLM integration and creates native REVIT models for steel structures from the NAPA shipbuilding CAD system as reference geometry.

PROSTEP plans to present the new version 10 of its PLM integration solution OpenPDM at the end of November – another step towards making OpenPDM available as a SaaS offering. At the same time, we are continuing to move forward with the coordinated modernization of OpenPDM and our data exchange platform OpenDXM GlobalX with the aim of bringing the two solutions together on a shared platform.
“ACO. We care for Water” is the guiding principle of the ACO Group. The world’s leading water technology company has placed its existing Teamcenter installation on a new footing with the aim of standardizing engineering processes and making it easier to connect other ACO subsidiaries to the PLM solution. PROSTEP assumed responsibility for migrating the CAD and PLM data to the new system environment.

As a first step, customer can start by using the connectors to leading PLM, ERP and ALM systems as a service without having to worry about installing and operating the software.
