Now Finish shipyard Meyer Turku starts to create the first of two ships using a common platform developed together with German counterpart Meyer Werft. German PLM specialist PROSTEP helps Meyer Turku to overcome the challenge of working with different CAD tools in hull design and outfitting.

PROSTEP Participates in Funding Project on Autonomous Driving

3D PDF Technical Data Package (TDP)

Adobe and PROSTEP have expanded their long-standing cooperation in the field of 3D PDF technology in order to provide companies with optimum support when it comes to establishing drawingless processes in accordance with the VDA guideline 4953-2 or MIL-STD-31000. Under the new agreement PROSTEP is now also able to offer customers the option of creating PDF-based technical data packages (TDP) containing any kind of 3D representations. The licensed functionality for flattening 3D models and generating PDF/A-3-compliant containers are part of a separate TDP module that expands PROSTEP's PDF Generator 3D. The new module is now available.

PROSTEP Sees Increasing Interest in Blockchain and 3D Printing

Blockchain and additive production not only go well together – they are also arousing great interest. Over 70 participants from industry, development and the research community attended the User Day held at the Center for Applied Aviation Research (ZAL) in Hamburg, where PROSTEP, together with other consortium partners, presented the results of the joint SAMPL (Secure Additive Manufacturing Platform) project sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

PROSTEP develops NAPA to AVEVA marine interface

​An integration platform for napa steel and aveva marine hull ​The end-to-end use of digital information in the shipbuilding industry demands the integration of a large number of different systems, which are used for different tasks and domains. PROSTEP offers a standards-based integration platform for this purpose that facilitates fast connection of all the relevant IT systems. In the future, it will also support the exchange of data between NAPA Steel and AVEVA Marine Hull.

PTC ThingWorx Integration Solutions from PROSTEP

PROSTEP, one of the leading PLM consulting and software houses and PLM vendor PTC are stepping up their collaboration involving the integration of the digital and physical product worlds. PROSTEP has developed three preconfigured OpenPDM CONNECT solutions for connecting PTC's IoT platform ThingWorx to the PLM systems 3D EXPERIENCE, Teamcenter and SAP PLM on the basis of its OpenPDM technology. The solutions enable digital product information to be linked with the operating data of the real product, which converge on the IoT platform. PROSTEP will also support the new ThingWorx Orchestration integration framework, which is slated for launch at the end of the year together with ThingWorx Release 8.4.

New OpenPDM Connectors for PLM Integration

PROSTEP has expanded the options it offers for integrating systems in heterogeneous PLM landscapes. In addition to the tried-and-tested standard connectors for 3D EXPERIENCE, ARAS Innovator, AutoDesk Vault, EKM, SAP, SIM Manager, Teamcenter and PTC Windchill, the PLM integration and migration solution OpenPDM now also offers connectors to SharePoint, HELiOS and CIM Database PLM. They were developed as part of customer projects.​

PROSTEP presents NAPA-AVEVA integration at COMPIT

The PLM consulting and solutions company PROSTEP is sponsoring this year's COMPIT (http://www.compit.info), which will take place from 25 to 27 March 2019 in Tullamore, Ireland. In addition, the CAD and PLM integration specialist will give a lecture at the international conference on Computer Applications and Information Technology in the Maritime Industry. The central topic will be the new NAPA-AVEVA interface and the associated improved possibilities it offers for the continuous integration of data and processes in shipbuilding.
